in competition for growth, branches rely on developing roots that deplete natural resources from the core. seems when greater heights don’t provide greater wealth we all pay the cost. whether it be in our consumption of cheap and fast product, imitation of originality, being informed of what we “want” or “need” to tempt us to follow those unnatural and shallow rooting systems. with secession the signal weakens, leaves will dry and cores will rot. without giving back to the source, there is none – run fast if you like, the hollowing begins within.
